My Verizon FIOS router came with the ridiculous default domain "mynetworksettings.com". I haven't changed it yet, because I wasn't sure about .local vs .home and whether changing it would break something. As an OG ARPANET user, I rather like the idea of having a home "arpanet" so I think I'll give home.arpa a try!
