What does being a minority have to do with freetime? Most of the people I worked with at my first faang were minorities. Seems like weird pandering. Also, If i'm going to pay someone 3-400k a year they better be able to whiteboard out some honestly pretty basic algorithms. They're paying the best, want to hire the 'best', and the 'best' can do this in addition to having systems knowledge or whatever. If you don't want to prepare or find it too difficult then you aren't worth 3-400k because there are enough people that can pass the bar at that price range. And to be honest, I don't think 'grinding' leetcode is really too much to ask for how much you are going to be paid. These complaints always come across as whiney people that want something for nothing. You have to compete.
