The transcript is probably interesting reading for anyone interested in the man; I imported it into Git and started formatting it into paragraphs at https://github.com/kragen/knuth-interview-2006, although I haven't finished.

I think it would be worthwhile for more people to (a) clone the git repository to reduce the risk that this primary historical source will be lost, and (b) reformat more of the transcript if they feel like it.
