5G is quickly getting a reputation for reduced battery life.
Are there any technical mitigations coming? Or just heavier phones with bigger batteries?

LTE had that same reputation for a few years. They improved it then and I don’t see why they wouldn’t improve it now.

Same as UMTS before LTE. I still remember my first UMTS phone would go through battery like water through a sieve.
